The amazing Bap Kennedy, famed for his work with Energy Orchard will be joined by Brenda Kennedy, this Friday night, April 30 at the Ivy Bar Newtownards.
Bap and Brenda will be fronting a four-piece appearing as part of the Lough Lively Festival.
Now back in his native land after a 20 year exile, Bab Kennedy continues to produce great work.
His first solo record - the critically acclaimed Domestic Blues was produced by bad behaviour
enthusiast Steve Earle with a stellar cast of Nashville musicians.
Baps next album The Big Picture was recorded with the help of Van Morrison who is a long standing mentor. A tour of the USA and Europe followed, as special guest of Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits who is now a convert to the Bap back catalogue. The tour included five nights at the Albert Hall, London.
Much of 2009 was taken up with extensive touring and 2010 looks set to be a busy year with Bap already working on material for the next record.
Supporting Bap and Brenda at the Ivy this weekend will be the amazing Paul Cardy.
Admission £6, doors open 7.30 pm.
