Pay*Ola pay a visit to Ards

Three renowned local bands will come together for a memorable gig at the Ivy Bar this Friday night, March 26. Pay*Ola headline the event and need little introduction. The band have toured with the likes of Bad Company and Snow Patrol. The out and out rockers have built up an excellent reputation since they rose to success back in 2000.

Supporting them will be NASA Assassins. The various members of the band have a pedigree steeped in the some of the most influential acts of the Northern Irish music scene of the past decade, however not wanting to rely on tried and tested formulae, each have brought the essential elements from their previous incarnations and melded and magnified them and in the process have created something entirely new, a living, breathing colossus.

Also on the bill for the night are the excellent Take The Firth and the newly reformed The Glory Holes. It's a top night of local music and admission s just £3. Doors open 7.30 pm.

On Saturday night, March 27, there will be a dance at the Ivy in aid of Marie Curie, featuring another two great local acts.

Talking Drum are currently will set the mood with their Caribbean sound and stage act followed by a newly formed band who came together specially for this event. Just Now comprise of Warren Reid on lead vocals and lead guitar, Brian Arthurs on drums and Richard Skinner on bass. They have a great set list of favourites and promise that the dancefloor will be buzzing.

Admission is £5 and tickets are available in advance or pay at the door. Doors open 7.30 pm.
